How to activate Assembly MIS Integration for Parent Meetings

This article is for sites that are already using Assembly MIS integration for the Booking system and would like to use Parent Meetings.  When you go to your Assembly MIS integration page in SchoolBooking (Administration - Academic) it will probably look like this with no data for Parents Integration.

When you initially authorised your Assembly App you will have been offered some 'Optional Scopes'.  These scopes need to be enabled before SchoolBooking can receive data for Parent Meetings.  To do this...

Step 1. Revoke Access - Sign in to the Assembly Platform and navigate to the Apps section, then locate and click on the SchoolBooking App.  Scroll down to the bottom of this page and click on the Revoke Access button.  You will then be asked to confirm that you wish to stop the app from accessing your school's data.

Step 2. Re-link SchoolBooking to Assembly & Authorise.  Go to Administration - Academic - Assembly MIS Integration and look for the option to Re-link SchoolBooking to Assembly.  

  • You will be directed to the Assembly dashboard where you will be prompted to Authorise the SchoolBooking App
  • At this point you will need to verify that the SchoolBooking App can access the designated scopes of your school’s data through a Data Access Request. 
  • Now select the optional scopes that are required for Parent Meeting in SchoolBooking, you will have to actively opt-in to agreeing to share this data by ticking the box next to the scope name. Once you have checked the scopes, you can authorise the app. That's it! You're done....
